Mini-Grant deadline October 18

For the past 23 years the Mary Lyon Foundation has provided small grants for innovative, educational, replicable projects in all our local schools. ANY staff member is eligible to apply and there are two deadlines each school year. Funding for these projects comes from the annual Community Spelling Bee held each November at Mohawk Trail Regional School.
Past mini-grant project examples include The Study of Monarch Butterflies, Chapter Book Project, Fantasy Book Club, Promoting School Pride through Photos, Multi-Sensory Math Manipulatives, Take Home Literacy Packets, Creating a Peace of Art, School Garden Project, Fiddlers of Anatevka production, Scrapbooking the School Year, Meeting the Needs of At-Risk Students and Alternative Energy Sources.
Please note that proposals are accepted from faculty and staff of the Mohawk Trail, Hawlemont and Rowe school districts ONLY. This year’s deadline for mini-grant applications is October 18.
