Mary Lyon Foundation Updates

Letter from The Chief Executive Officer: Winter 2026

Impact is not just a word; it defines our collective efforts. Boy, did we make an impact on the community during the turbulent fall! We fed hungry people, stood loud and proud to support those who needed our help, spoke to the news, published articles and stories, and advocated for community investment in children, programs, and services. Our work is substantial and inspiring, and we take pride in it.

The community we live in is not just a place; it’s a network of support. Neighbors opened their arms to help the Foundation provide vital resources and services to those who needed them most. The Mary Lyon Foundation could not do the work we do without the commitment of our volunteers, board members, partners, and staff. Together, we linked arms and made a difference. There is so much strength when we work together!

We filled propane and oil tanks, fed families, and brought holiday magic to children through your generosity. Your belief that our impact can change lives and help dreams come true is what keeps us going. Thank you!

We do not know what 2026 will bring, but if we link arms, we can face the challenges ahead together. I am an eternal optimist and emulate Mary Lyon every day in my work. She says, “Cherish such a frame of mind as to be continually prepared for great and sudden events.” A good friend of mine once told me, “Luck comes to those who are prepared.” The Mary Lyon Foundation is prepared for whatever comes our way in 2026. Together, we can and will make an impact. The future is unknown, but it’s also an opportunity. Thank you for your continued commitment to our mission, and cheers to 2026.
