Mary Lyon Foundation Updates
West County’s Community Resource Fair
This past September, the Mary Lyon Foundation welcomed families, students, and neighbors to the third annual West County Community Resource Fair at Mohawk Trail Regional School. Nearly 40 local organizations joined together to offer resources, guidance, and support in one place.
Guests explored a wide range of services—from health, housing, and education to food access and legal support—while enjoying a healthy, complimentary dinner from Stone Soup Café and numerous family activities. Western Mass Face Painting added color and fun to the afternoon, and comfort dogs K9 Frank and K9 Auggie brought smiles throughout the afternoon, and children went home with free books to help kick off the school year. The Community Health Center of Franklin County also introduced its new mobile dental van, which will begin regular visits to West County in 2026 through a partnership with the Foundation and Mohawk Trail Regional School.
The energy throughout the event showed what makes West County so special: neighbors connecting, sharing, and looking out for each other. We’re thankful to all the organizations, volunteers, and community members who helped make this year’s fair such a warm and meaningful gathering.
